The SpineScan3D User Meeting was held in Philadelphia during SRS meeting on 7 September, 2017.
The meeting was a great success and offered a very good platform for our participants to have all the updates on this simple tool that would allow us to profile the back three dimensionally, with utility in screening populations as well as other purposes. All participants were highly engaged in discussing with our team on what we are doing well, what areas we can improve upon and any technical questions regarding the operation of the scan. Many brilliant ideas about its applications have also been proposed by our participants. One of the main highlights was the demonstration of the trial version SpineScan3D iOS App, in which a lot of participants are looking forward to. The App is now pending approval from Apple. Further update will be given when it is officially available.
In IMAST 2017, we gave out many scanners to surgeons from 31 different countries for our research study. The study is a worldwide collaborative research, bringing together spine care specialists around the world. Our joint effort can certainly facilitate spine research and development of effective preventions and treatment strategies, and result in an overall better spine care for everyone. We are in the process of manufacturing more scanners for new participants too.
We would like to thank all participants for making this event a great success! The fact that they shared their experience and insight into SpineScan3D is highly appreciated.
